Carptrek is not a commercial venture it is a group of angling friends in the Oxfordshire area who go overseas in search of good fishing, good company and a tranquil, relaxing fishing holiday. If you wish to join us get in touch.

We usually book the exclusive use of a prolific carp lake in France and stay for a whole week. We enjoy hearty meals on the bank and wash them down with a bottle or two of the local wine.

Kevin caught consistently on his trip to Echo Pool, this was his biggest fish of the week. Kevin also caught a further SIX carp over thirty pounds in weight! Good Skills!

Doug embraces the whole French experience, not just the fishing. Doug has fished in many European countries and enjoys learning enough of the local language to 'get by' in France, Holland  and Belgium.

Prof. Paul's quiet, dry humour made us smile all week. Prof. took 14 tonnes of fishing tackle with him to France and 27 tonnes of bait. He did seem to catch the most mind you!
